Economic Restructuring Committee The Economic Restructuring committee is actively seeking the following types of businesses in direct response to community surveys: a nice restaurant that serves lunch and dinner, with a bar; an outrigger or sporting goods store that deals with biking, canoeing, running, skiing, etc.; a fine jewelry store- to either continue an existing store that the owners are retiring or start a new one to fill the coming void; a meat shop. If you are interested in starting a business or expanding to our downtown, please call the MSP office at 608-745-1861Economic RestructuringThis group. . . strengthens a community's existing economic assets while expanding and diversifying its economic base. The Main Street program helps sharpen the competitiveness of existing business owners and recruits compatible new businesses and new economic uses to build a commercial district that responds to today's consumer needs. Converting unused or underused commercial space into economically productive property also helps boost the district.
Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month @ 7:30am in the Mercantile (117 West Cook Street) Goal: Strengthen and broaden the economic viability of the commercial historic districts. Barb
